LOADRITE Scraps Overload Fines!

A Kentucky based scrap trading and processing company, the largest scrap corporation in the USA, uses LOADRITE every day. The company sends its operators to various locations across the state, with mobile crushers and loaders, to crush cars onsite and collect scrap metal. These materials are taken to steel mills for processing, it is therefore essential that they know what the weight of the metal is being deposited on road trucks.
Trucks go to the steel mill where they are weighed by the weighbridge on arrival then proceed to the scrap pile where the truck is unloaded. Each truck is required to tare in monthly.

Before LOADRITE

Loader operators would load trucks with crushed automobiles and scrap materials by roughly guessing the truck loads. This was based on judgment as most cars that are crushed weigh approximately the same. This system was subject to error as it is difficult to estimate the weight of crushed materials due to the fact that a lot of materials vary in density and thickness, so it was easy to put too much on a truck. The scrap company was overloading trucks and incurring fines. These fines vary from state to state and can be very substantial.

LOADRITE Saves Money

LOADRITE was the answer. A LOADRITE Force was installed on the company's Volvo L90E. Trucks leaving the sites can now be loaded to the correct weight first time - reducing overload fines.
