LOADRITE Helps Get Product from the Port onto the Road and to the Processing Plant

Every month ships arrive from Australia, laden with gypsum, at one of NZ's busiest ports. This product then needs to make its way to a processing plant, by road, where it is an important ingredient in making wallboards. Loadrite is there from the start to make sure the whole process is efficient.

LOADRITE Prevents Overload Fines

On arrival in NZ the gypsum is dumped on the wharf where earthmoving equipment makes stockpiles. Next the product is loaded onto trucks using a CAT966F wheel loader, fitted with a LOADRITE Pro weighing system. LOADRITE ensures that the trucks and trailers are the correct weight for their journey on the crowded motorway to the wallboard processing plant, over 21km away. This is very important as the road is a main route watched by traffic officers, who will hand out hefty fines for overloading.

LOADRITE Tracks Production

On arrival at the plant the gypsum is once again stockpiled using a Kawasaki wheel loader, also fitted with a Loadrite weighing system. The LOADRITE is used to measure the right amount of gypsum going into the hopper and track production. Two excavators then stockpile the gypsum in tiers of approximately 12 thousand tonnes. Without LOADRITE this whole process would take twice as long. LOADRITE ensures that the trucks are loaded to the maximum legal weight so they don't have to turn around and tip off half way through the journey. In addition the LOADRITE system at the plant ensures that the correct amount of gypsum is added to the process keeping rejects to a minimum.

"LOADRITE makes the entire operation seamless. From the port right the way to the processing plant - LOADRITE is there every step of the way!"
