LOADRITE Used to Accurately Charge Customers

Waste Resources Limited situated at Auckland International Airport 21km from Auckland's central business district, operates an incinerator facility. This operation burns waste material from all inbound aeroplanes to the airport, inbound ships from the ports of Auckland and Tauranga and medical waste from various hospitals and surgeries. Under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries
quarantine policy certain food, plants, animal products etc are not allowed onto New Zealand soil. It is the responsibility of each airline or boat entering the country to ensure that it destroys any such substance. Hospitals and surgeries have waste products including bandages, needles and syringes that need to be destroyed. Waste Resources' furnace can take care of all of these needs.

Charging the Customer

Waste Resources needed to charge the customer, whether it be the airline, port, or contractor for the hospital, based on the weight of the waste incinerated. It also wanted to weigh each load that was put into the incinerator to determine the burn rate required for combustion.

LOADRITE - When Accuracy Counts

LOADRITE was the answer. A LOADRITE 916 was installed on the TCM loader. All waste products entering Waste Resources' facility can be weighed on arrival, as they are offloaded, so that individual customers can be invoiced. LOADRITE also weighs the waste as it is put into the furnace so that the correct amount of heat can be applied. Waste Resources was concerned about run-off from the waste so it recently trialed a weighbridge to cross check the weight registered on the LOADRITE - LOADRITE came up trumps! "LOADRITE was as accurate as the weighbridge. In fact LOADRITE weighed the most consistent weight compared to the weighbridge and truck scales," comments Don Jordan, Waste Resources’ Manager.

"LOADRITE proved more accurate than the weighbridge. It enables us to accurately recover costs and charge customers."
Don Jordan, Manager, Waste Resources

"Roberto, our LOADRITE Distributor, is always only a phone call away if we need him, which isn't often."
Bob Leef, Operator, Waste Resources
